1. Who We Are
Kala is an Android app by Pendura Solutions that helps you understand and manage the time you spend in selected apps. This Privacy Policy explains how Kala handles information inside the Android app.
2. Information the App Collects
The Kala app does not collect personal information from you or your device. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, advertising identifier, device identifier, or network activity.
Kala also does not collect analytics, crash reports, diagnostics, telemetry, behavioral profiles, or usage data for transmission to us or to any third party.
3. Local On-Device Data
Kala stores app settings, selected monitored apps, timer sessions, session history, goals, streaks, and similar app functionality data locally on your device using SQLite storage.
This data stays inside the app's private local storage area on your device. It is used only to make Kala work for you, including showing timers, histories, summaries, and app preferences.
4. No Internet Permission
The Kala Android app does not request internet permission. Because the app does not have internet access, it cannot send your app data to Pendura Solutions, cloud servers, analytics providers, advertising networks, or any other external service.
5. Android Permissions
Kala may ask you to enable Android permissions or system settings needed for its core features, such as Accessibility Service, usage access, notifications, or drawing over other apps. These permissions are used locally to detect selected app usage, display the floating timer, and support related app behavior.
Kala does not use these permissions to collect or transmit personal data. You can disable these permissions at any time in Android Settings, but some Kala features may stop working if required permissions are turned off.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, disclose, or share app data with third parties. The app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or cloud synchronization services.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Because Kala stores app data locally on your device, the data remains there until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Kala or clearing its app data through Android Settings should remove the locally stored SQLite database and related app data from that device.
8. Backups and Device Transfers
Your Android device or operating system may offer device backup, restore, or transfer features. Kala does not control those system-level features. If your device backup settings include app data, Android or your device manufacturer may handle local app data according to their own backup settings and privacy policies.
9. Children's Privacy
Kala is not designed to collect information from anyone, including children. Since the app does not collect or transmit personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Website and Beta Forms
This Privacy Policy is for the Kala Android app. If you voluntarily use the Kala website contact form or beta signup form, you may provide information such as your name, email address, device model, or message so we can respond to you or manage beta access. That website form information is separate from Kala app data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Kala's features, permissions, or data handling practices change. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
